Chamber Series

Music on the Move

The Music on the Move! Chamber Series showcases QSO musicians in various venues such as libraries, senior and community centers and town halls in hour-long performances of different ensembles, free of charge.  Through these concerts, QSO is able to continue its decentralization efforts and reach out to many different communities in the borough.    Past locations have included the Bayside Historical Society at Fort Totten, the Middle Village Adult Center, the Self help Clearview Senior Center in Bayside, and the Poppenhusen Institute in College Point. The Music on the Move! Chamber Series consists of a variety of programming, from string quartets and woodwind trios to music lectures on the history of PDQ Bach and demonstrations on the musical saw!

Check our website and online calendar for updated Music on the Move! concert dates, themes and locations.
